Meeting Makers won the contract to deliver the either International Critical Link Conference 2016 in partnership with Marketing Edinburgh. The conference will be hosted by the Centre for Translation & Interpreting in Scotland LINCS/SML and will take place at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

Christine Wilson, director of undergraduate teaching programmes at LINCS, said: "One of our main reasons for selecting Meeting Makers was that we were impressed by the level of awareness of our specific conference and the organisation behind it. What stood out for the committee was how prepared and knowledgeable the representatives of Meeting Makers were and, also, the interpersonal dynamics that made us feel that we would have a successful working relationship. Moreover, the company seemed large enough to have a breadth of expertise, but not so big that its approach became too distant and inflexible."

Meeting Makers formed a ‘bid team’ with Visit Manchester to deliver the winning bid to the European Society of Hypnosis.

Meeting Makers’ managing director Clive Thomson, said: "We are very pleased to have been selected to deliver Critical Link 8 and ESH 2017. Our experienced team are looking forward to working closely with all partner organisations to fulfil the aims and objectives of both events."
