Ormondroyd, who was previously events director at Allianz Park, brings 14 years of events industry experience to the newly created group sales director role at SMG.

"The Science Museum Group provides that environment. The group is renowned for evolving event spaces suitable for any type of event so the decision to join as group sales manager was an easy one."
SMG has promoted Ben Lheureux to the role of group operations manager. Lheureux was previously event operations manager, and his new role will see him take on greater responsibility for increasing SMG’s profile and profitability in the corporate market.
Sam Owen, previously head of commercial and live events, has been promoted to head of commercial operations and experiences, widening his remit to include retail catering and commercial on-site experiences, as well as corporate, commercial and live events.
Claire Russell has also joined the SMG events team as marketing and sales executive.
