Monarch Airlines releases 18 additional winter incentive routes

Monarch Airlines has added 18 more routes to its winter 15/16 schedule, including key ski and winter sun incentive destinations.

The airline released its first 15 winter routes back in April, with flights to cities including Palma Majorca, Larnaca in Cyprus and Turin in Italy.

The additional routes include flights from Birmingham to Barcelona, Gibraltar and Majorca; Leeds Bradford to Larnaca, Menorca and Majorca; London Gatwick to Hurghada, Larnaca, Lyon and Majorca; London Luton to Lanzarote, Larnaca, Menorca and Naples; and Manchester to Hurghada and Naples.

Two brand-new routes from Gatwick to Salzberg and from Manchester to Geneva have also been introduced. The routes are now on sale and run until April 2016.

Marjan Schoeke, head of network development for Monarch Airlines, said: "We are delighted to announce the release of additional flights and frequencies to our schedule for winter 15/16. These additional routes and frequencies provide our customers with an even greater choice of destinations whether that be winter sun, ski or city short breaks. In particular, new for the winter 15/16 ski programme the addition of Salzburg from London Gatwick and Geneva from Manchester."

Following a recent review of its network Monarch has ceased its long-haul and charter flights in favour of a completely scheduled network of short-haul, European destinations.
