Boyle, who was appointed as Capita’s CEO in January 2015, will be replaced by former CEO James Parkhouse.

Parkhouse had led Capita Travel and Events for six years before being promoted to executive director of Capita's Workspace Services Division in early 2014, when Boyle took over the role of CEO.

A spokesperson said: "Paul Boyle, chief executive of Capita Travel and Events, has left the company. Paul has helped lead the business through significant transformation, and we thank him for his service over the past two years and wish him every success in the future.

"We are pleased to announce James Parkhouse, who previously led the business, will assume the role of chief executive of Capita Travel and Events, bringing with him a wealth of experience of the business."

The news comes shortly after Capita appointed former Banks Sadler group sales director Paul Stoddart to the role of director of meetings and events.
