Employees from the law firm Gateley enjoyed a spellbinding evening in the Great Hall at Birmingham University after Eventologists transformed the venue into the magical world of Harry Potter.

The themed event last month (March) saw 500 guests, all given Hogwarts house scarves after being greeted by Harry and professor Dumbledore, sit down on school benches for dinner. The tables, located under 500 suspended candles, featured smoking cauldrons containing test tubes of potions, which were actually shot drinks.

The famous wizard performed magic tricks and a string quartet played music from the Harry Potter films. A Hedwig-like owl flew in to deliver a copy of the speech to Gateley's managing director.

The event, the first organised by Eventologists for Gateley, ended with dancing to a live band.
