'Godzilla hotel' opens in Japan

Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, which features a 12m-high replica Godzilla head, has opened its doors in Tokyo, Japan.

The 920-room hotel occupies twenty-three floors of the new Shinjuku Toho Building in Kabukicho in Tokyo. It offers quick train links to both Haneda Airport and Narita Airport.

Guests can book one of six ‘Godzilla View Rooms’, which offer a view from the window of the Godzilla head on the 8th floor terrace. There is also a Godzilla-themed room on the top floor, which includes a Godzilla interior complete with a trick wall, special effects and a life-size replica claw over the bed.

Other hotel facilities include two restaurants and free wi-fi throughout. It is also situated above a 12-screen cinema complex.
