C&IT joined corporate event planners from Experian, Gorkana and Manchester-based event agency Inconnection, as well as SANA Hotels UK sales director Sarah Tennant, for a four-day fam trip to Lisbon and The Algarve, with flights arranged courtesy of TAP Portugal, to see a selection of SANA Hotel's properties, while enjoying an exciting itinerary organised by global DMC Abreu.

On the first night the group stayed at the Myriad by SANA Hotels, a towering 186-room property located in Lisbon's business district, which extends over the Tagus River.

Shortly after arrival, the group ventured out into Lisbon on a tuk-tuk to explore the seven hills of the city, including the ancient Sao Jorge Castle and the famous Pasteis de Belem bakery where they sampled traditional Portuguese pastries.

The following day, the group made the two-hour journey along the coast to The Algarve, where a stay in the five-star EPIC SANA Algarve hotel awaited. The itinerary in the southern region of the country included a sailing experience along the Algarve coast and dinner at News Cafe.

The trip ended in Lisbon at the EPIC SANA Hotel, which C&IT recently revealed will host Orange's annual European sales kick-off conference for the second year running. The group enjoyed their final dinner together at the property's Flor-De-Lis restaurant after another day of sightseeing.

Earlier this month, The Algarve featured in C&IT's Destination of the Week, which included a corporate lowdown and a snapshot of the best hotel's for events in the area.
