Green event platform Poken has hired Steve Smith as senior business development manager at its headquarters in Lausanne.

Poken has hired Steve Smith as its senior business development manager

Smith will be responsible developing opportunities in the sports and youth event sectors and looking to build on the levels of engagement Poken has created for customers at the Youth Olympic Games.

He previously worked for Poken between 2009 and 2013 in the role of head of product management and marketing, before leaving to work on sports-related app development projects. He has also worked for a number of technology start-ups including Coghead, FileMaker/Apple and NetObjects.

Poken’s CEO and founder, Stephane Doutriaux, said: "We are delighted to welcome Steve back to the Poken team. He is a very talented and experienced product manager, marketer, and business developer, and it's an honour to have him back."
