Over the past year, the agency has won four new multinational clients, based in the country, with a total annual business travel spend of £1.4m.

It now handles 20 corporate clients from its office in Amsterdam, which was established three years ago, and is looking to recruit additional staff to expand its local operation.

Since becoming the European anchor for its parent company CTM Group in January this year, Chambers has embarked on growth opportunities in the Netherlands via tenders for major clients based in this market.

It is also staging its first ‘Chambers Chatter’ forum in Amsterdam for existing and potential clients at the Amsterdam American Hotel on 23 April.

Entitled ‘Think Global: Act Local’,  the Amsterdam Chatter event will feature a presentation by Chambers’ client Karla de Jongoffice manager for Mattel, who is based in Holland and responsible for the companies corporate travel programme Europe-wide. The presentation will be followed by an open discussion.

The Chatter learning and networking seminars for travel management and MICE clients have already proved successful in London and Munich.

Chris Thelen, CEO of Chambers Travel Group, said: "We have experienced exceptional growth in the Netherlands over the last year, thanks to our bespoke approach to managing travel for global clients who are headquartered in this market and have international travel programmes.

"We service clients locally from our Amsterdam office with the support of our Eurocentre team in London who have a local IATA licence in place for the Netherlands. This means our staff can access and sell local Dutch supplier content, provide billing in euros and apply local VAT rates."
