Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre forms partnership to strengthen demand for business events

Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) has joined forces with Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE), an event organising and marketing company, following the signing of an agreement to enhance the events sector in the Sultanate.

The agreement comprises the hosting of several OITE events such as the ICT show, COMEX, the education fair, GHEDEX and the environmental expo, Gulf Eco.

Trevor McCartney, general manager at the OCEC, said: "We look forward to working closely with OITE. The calibre of events they organise is exactly the kind that will benefit from OCEC’s outstanding facilities."

Nick Hodge, managing director at OITE, added: "This agreement is a powerful statement of intent between two strong partners with one common goal – to build world-leading events in the Sultanate of Oman. We are extremely excited about partnering with this prestigious venue. OCEC is good news not only for Oman’s business events industry but for the Sultanate in general, given the economic opportunities it will bring."

OCEC’s events, ranging from international conferences and product launches to concerts and trade shows, are expected to generate value for the centre, its partners and the Omani community.
