As director for India, Zemp will head up Switzerland Tourism's Mumbai office and will oversee both leisure and MICE markets.

Zemp, who was MICE manager for UK & Ireland, will be replaced by Livio Goetz, who joins from London-based Worldwide Events, where he was hosted buyer account director. Previous to this, Goetz spent three years as manager, sales and marketing, for the Lucerne Convention Bureau.

Zemp told C&IT: "We’ve been looking for someone to represent Switzerland in the Indian market for a while. I know the destination very well having travelled a lot through it and the MICE and leisure markets are very interesting. I’ve been in London for 15 years now and I’m looking forward to a new challenge."

Goetz will begin his new role with SCIB next week, with Zemp relocating to Mumbai in May.
