ICC Birmingham bolsters corporate and association events team

The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham has hired Rachel Hunton as account director for corporates and Danielle Parry as senior account manager for associations.

Hunton has more than 25 years of sales experience across a range of markets and industries and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing existing contracts. 

"This position gives me a fantastic opportunity to work in an amazing venue with a great team, selling conferences and events across a broad spectrum of market sectors," said Hunton. "I pride myself on forging strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and finding solutions to help them achieve their objectives, so I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into the role and utilising my knowledge and experience."

Parry has more than five years of experience in sales and account management roles in both local and international markets, mostly in the financial, credit risk, energy and retail sectors. She speaks French and German and will work with the associations team to attract new international clients.

Parry said: "I’m excited to join the ICC as it offers fantastic facilities and service to clients. With my previous experience and fluent languages I’m keen to build the ICC’s international business and explore opportunities with Associations across diverse industries including financial, retail, logistics and energy."
