Marriott's New York EDITION, Ian Schrager's latest hotel, is scheduled to open in the Flatiron district of Manhattan next month.

The 273-room property is situated inside the 'Clocktower' building, formerly the Met Life Tower, which dates back to 1909 and was once the tallest building in New York. The iconic 41-storey structure is located directly opposite Madison Square Park in one of the Manhattan's 'hottest areas', known as NoMad.

Offering a 'modern, edgy, original, and sophisticated sensibility', the luxurious, design-led hotel will – like its sister property the London EDITION – feature a Jason Atherton restaurant, along with several bars.

The New York EDITION will include nearly 200sqm of meeting and event space that ranges from an executive boardroom to studio space. Three penthouses have extensive views of the Manhattan skyline and are suitable tor private events. In addition, the hotel's signature restaurant offers customised banquet menus for private events, luncheons, dinners parties and business meetings.

A 153sqm fitness centre and spa will be located on the 39th floor.
