Fairmont to take over Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced that it will soon take over management of the Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego, California, renaming it the Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

The resort is set amidst the Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve near the coast and near to La Jolla, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe, as well as San Diego Airport. It has 249 guestrooms including eight 1,371sqm two-storey villas. 

The venue has 6,096sqm of flexible meeting and event space from larger ballrooms to small boardrooms, and can accommodate groups of up to 600 delegates. It also has a range of outdoor event space on offer as well as catering facilities.

The resort also offers a number of incentive and teambuilding activities for delegates including wine and cheese tastings, culinary classes, yoga sessions, spa treatments and professional golf and tennis instruction. 

Other facilities at the resort include six different restaurants, a spa, a fitness centre, boutique shopping outlets and an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse.
