Edgbaston appointed mclcreate to deliver all audiovisual support and rigging for conference and events at the venue following a competitive tender process. Mclcreate will also give support on cricket match days and get involved with event production, reflecting its shift from only supplying technology to providing end-to-end event services.

Tim Spencer, managing director of mclcreate, said: "We can’t wait to get stuck into this, in fact we’ve already begun work on a number of upcoming events at Edgbaston Stadium. It’s a unique and exciting venue that we are proud to be partnering with."

Penny Carter, sales and marketing manager for conference and events at Edgbaston Stadium, said: "Mclcreate has worked with us at Edgbaston in the past, so its team know our set-up for events and provide an outstanding range of A/V solutions to our clients. The team are great operators and we look forward to working with them throughout the partnership."

Edgbaston boasts a new conference and event space following a recent £32m redevelopment project. It can accommodate events for up to 800 delegates and can hold smaller business meetings in its executive hospitality boxes. The venue will host an England v Australia Ashes test match from 29 July-2 August.
