The 250-room JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is the brand's sixth European property, but the first in Italy.
The 40-acre resort – situated on its own private island in a lagoon near St Mark’s Square and La Serenissima – has a function space inside an old church on the premises and a variety of outdoor spaces for guest use.
It has four restaurants, including the signature Dopolavoro Dining Room, and five bars, as well a cooking school and wine academy.
There is a 1,750sqm spa, which offers bespoke treatments and an indoor pool, a health club, eight treatment rooms and a hammam. Also available at the resort are watersports such as canoeing and sailing and a outdoor, rooftop infinity pool with views out over the city.
