Located inside a 16th-century building within walking distance of Rome's main market square, Piazza Navona, G-Rough caters for small, high-end groups looking for luxury accommodation rich in Italian authenticity.

The Design Hotels property, sister hotel to PalazzinaG in Venice, describes itself as 'rough luxe' and includes ten suites across five storeys. The interior of each level is inspired by a different Italian designer from the '30s '40s and '50s. The largest room is the 130sqm Penthouse Suite, which occupies the entire top floor of the hotel and offers a view of the historic city from a 30sqm terrace.

The property includes a café and 35sqm 'wine gallery' bar, which will host a calendar of events, installations and performances. There is also one conference and meetings room.

Wi-fi: free throughout
