Anita Lowe confirms new business venture

Lowe, former director of meetings and events at Capita Travel & Events, joined Bluehat Group in January to head up the agency's new Venues and Events division, which was based in Swindon.

A statement from Venues and Events International said: "In order to facilitate investment into Venues and Events, this will now be taken forward under the ownership of the new investor and Anita. This will allow Bluehat to work on its core teambuilding and still maintain the close relationship with the venue finding and events area within our industry." 

In a statement released earlier today, Bluehat announced that Lowe had left the agency and that it had relocated its new venues and events division to London and taken on three new staff.

Tim Shepley, CEO of Bluehat Group, said: "It was fun working with Anita Lowe in setting up the new division and we had hoped that she would join the board as a director and shareholder, but people change their minds and we respect that."

Lowe told C&IT that she has re-employed ten staff based in Swindon who chose not to relocate to London with immediate effect to work for Venues and Events, which has received investment from Thames Valley Capital.

"We have had positive comments from our clients and are continuing to service them as a boutique agency," she said.
