Franks joined drp ten years ago as a project manager, becoming head of the project management department in 2006 and then project director, before being promoted to director of events in 2014, heading up the team of project directors.

His appointment to the board will give him the opportunity to further develop his own team and have more involvement with the entire company.

Franks was nominated to be part of the first C&IT A List, celebrating 35 of the best event agency talent aged 35 and under, in 2009.

He said: I’m really excited about the opportunity I have been given, drp is a great company, with an elite list of clients and people and I’m proud to play an integral part of it’s future, and within the events industry.

"We have milestone year ahead of us with our 35th anniversary which we will be celebrating throughout the year."
