Pearl hires business development manager and gains two DMC partners

Pearl Representation has appointed Chris Meer as business development manager after adding two DMC partners to its portfolio - Event Makers (Greece) and GoAdventures (India).

Pearl announced that it has seen an increase in RFPs and interest in its services since its launch in June 2014, which has lead to Meer’s appointment.

Meer, who joins Pearl from AMEX Meetings & Events, will work alongside Pearl’s managing director Rakesh Joomuck to grow the business. He has more than seven years of agency experience and was most recently responsible for looking after a global pharmaceutical company in the process of planning its meetings, conferences and incentives.

Joomuck said: "I’m very excited by the appointment of Chris, who comes with a wealth of knowledge in the events industry having worked on the agency side for the last seven years. Together we will strengthen our relationships and know-how of the industry, providing an excellent level of service to our clients."

Meer joins as Pearl adds two new DMCs to its portfolio, India-based GoAdventures and Event Makers in Greece, both of which specialise in the full range of MICE services.
