KDM launches measurement app for teambuilding events

Event content specialist KDM Events has devised a tablet-based tool to enable planners to measure the success of teambuilding events using a system linked to the desired objectives.

Delegates are benchmarked at the start of the event using a customised app in conjunction with tablets, and the process is repeated as soon as the event is over, so that recall, comprehension or sentiment can be measured against pre-set targets.

KDM commercial director Nicky Whyman said: "We work with the client to tailor an initial set of eight to ten questions linked to their specific event objectives, having identified and set measureable targets. For example, a client may be looking for 90% of their team to state by the end the event that they feel able to work well together towards shared goals."

Delegates complete the questions as part of the event briefing and are answered anonymously using tablets supplied by the company. Typically, one tablet shared between ten participants enables the entire group to complete the multiple choice questionnaire in less than ten minutes. KDM says its 'Measure Event Success' tool is currently being used by groups of up to 300 delegates.

The process is repeated at the end of the event and then planners are immediately given a clear report of the outcomes against their original defined targets.
