Coulter and Agency Coulter, which serve associations, not-for-profits and corporations, will now be MCI’s platform in the United States, responsible for its association management, meetings and consultative services there. The partnership is also intended to further MCI’s ability to deliver locally to senior influencers and decision makers in associations, corporates and governments.

The merger has created a ‘global brand’ of more than 1,800 professionals across 31 countries, which is ‘more than double the size and reach of its nearest competitor’.

Coulter and Agency Coulter will now operate as MCI Group companies, though they will continue to use their brand names. All executive leadership will remain unchanged.

Sebastien Tondeur, CEO of MCI Group, said: "MCI has been active in the US market for many years. About 10% of our revenues come from US-based clients and our management has held key leadership positions in many US-based industry associations, including ASAE, MPI, PCMA, SITE and the AMC Institute. With the addition of Coulter Companies to our group, we can now activate a robust strategic and operational base in the US, making us the first truly global company in our industry."

Coulter Companies CEO Thomas Coulter Gibson said: "This merger is more than just a geographic or business expansion, it represents a union of aligned cultures and shared outlooks on the global market. It will be thrilling to see the affirmative impact of this union on our clients and professionals, current and future."
