C&IT's Association Forum kicks off

C&IT's 2015 Association Forum has kicked off today (9 March), the start of two days of education and networking at London's prestigious Hurlingham Club.

The event will begin with an ice-breaker, then feature several educational sessions, as well as networking opportunities and pre-arranged one-to-one business meetings with suppliers of venues and services.

This evening, delegates will enjoy dinner and entertainment at Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel and Spa.

The line-up of speakers includes:

  • John Chilton, executive manager at the International Association of Hydrogeologists, who joins the 'Going for Growth' panel.
  • Duncan MacOwan, head of events and new media at FESPA, who will discuss the latest technology to bring events to life and encourage interaction.

  • Dermot Ryan, congress and events manager at EAACI, and Chris Trimmer, executive director at World Obesity Federation will share their knowledge on trends they think will shape future events.

  • Amy Dudden, events and engagement manager at Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, will join Laura Newbery, global meetings planner and marketing manager at IACCM, on a session titled 'Appealing to Generation X/Y/Z'.

  • Leah Carter, head of global events at the Association of MBAs, will lead a session about delegate acquisition strategies.

  • Karen Schlaegel, head of meetings and events at British Pharmacological Society, and Caroline MacKenzie, director of association services at Zibrant, will talk about extracting revenue from events.
