The UK-based supplier to the international events management market, overcame stiff European competition to win lengthy retained contracts with the European Plastics Distributors Association (EPDA) and the European Association for Communication in Healthcare (EACH).

The EPDA contract will see SAS host the association's annual conference in Barcelona this June, as well as manage its international membership database, website, help out with strategy and run a promotional campaign to highlight the benefits of membership.

Its work for EACH will involve managing the research, teaching and lobbying activities the organisation is involved in facilitating, and taking control of its annual conference from 2018.

EACH president Jonathan Silverman said SAS was the "most impressive" of the numerous companies they interviewed and their performance so far has exceeded expectations.

Meeting Makers managing director Clive Thomson commented: "We are delighted to have won these two contracts in quick succession. Both organisations have differing needs and requirements, which our experienced team of event managers are looking forward to meeting. The big strength of SAS is our extensive experience of supporting and enhancing the very specialised activities of membership associations."
