On Wednesday evening (25 February), The View from The Shard officially launched its event space, available for private hire, to industry professionals and media. Attendees were treated to a preview of the venue’s summer garden 244m above London. They enjoyed drinks and canapés and had the opportunity to discuss with The Shard’s events team the potential of transforming the venue for individual events.

On Tuesday (24 February) industry professionals gathered at The Roof Gardens on Kensington High Street for a carnival-themed showcase of its event space. The events team answered questions about the space and attendees were treated to canapés and Champagne, as well as entertainment including circus performers and a live band.

On Wednesday morning (25 February), caterers Food by Dish and Banqueting House in White Hall hosted a ‘yoga breakfast’ for 20 event agents and venue finders. On arrival, Food by Dish presented guests with healthy shots of kale, acai berry and wheatgrass smoothies, before they were taken through a yoga session in the historic venue. The event was rounded off with a post-yoga networking breakfast buffet which followed a healthy theme, although mini bacon butties were also on offer.
