The events will attract more than 1,400 delegates in total and include:

  • General Meeting of the Association of National Numbering Agencies at Conrad Hotel, Dublin in June 2015

  • The IATA Aviation Security conference at The Convention Centre, Dublin in October 2015

  • International Equine Ophthalmology Consortium Symposium which has been confirmed to meet in Malahide in June, 2016

  • Conference of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education, which will hold its tenth congress of European research in mathematics education (CERME 10) in Dublin in February 2017.

The authority is anticipated to announce four more conference wins in the coming weeks, totalling more than 2,000 international delegates and worth an additional £2.2m to the economy.

Its CEO Shaun Quinn revealed the business tourism team is currently bidding on a further 218 conferences, with a potential value of £221m if all are secured.

"The conference sector is a competitive business but, happily, Ireland continues to punch well above its weight. To date we have recorded 117 conferences taking place in Ireland this year - worth a combined value of £41.7m to the Irish economy," he said.

"Next year and beyond is also looking positive, with 70 conferences already secured, along with a potential £61.5m in revenue for the Irish economy. We will be keeping our foot on the pedal and identifying, pursuing and converting as many leads and opportunities as we can".

Fáilte Ireland's business tourism team aims to reach a revenue target of £45m in 2015, representing an 8% growth on last year.
