Starwood opens second Element hotel in Canada

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened the eco-wise Element Vancouver Metrotown hotel in the Sovereign Building, the tallest tower in Burnaby, British Columbia.

The 169-bedroom Element hotel is located within Metropolis at Metrotown, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex, and is next to the Burnaby business district. It is 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver via the SkyTrain and convenient for the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The hotel has four meetings spaces, the largest of which is a customisable, 1084sqm space. There are also two executive boardrooms, and a range of features including audio visual equipment, free wi-fi in the meetings area, a pre-function space and catering staff. 

Other facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre, an indoor saline swimming pool, and the Trattoria casual dining restaurant.
