Institute of Travel & Meetings announces new chair

The Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM) has appointed UBS' Mark Cuschieri as chairman, taking over from KPMG global travel category manager Sarah Makings.

Cuschieri, who is the global travel lead at UBS and has more than 20 years of experience in business travel, working at companies including Expedia Corporate Travel and American Express Business Travel, will be announced as ITM’s new chairman at its annual conference at the Fairmont, St Andrews in April.

On his appointment, Cuschieri said: "I will continue to work with the board, and CEO Simone Buckley, to ensure ITM remains an inclusive association that delivers important and invaluable resources."

ITM has also revealed new additions to its board, with Microsoft global travel category manager Olive Kavanagh, Capita group travel category manager Jon Bolger and Citi Shared Services EMEA travel manager and global commercial airline programme manager Steve Proud joining the association.
