The revamped event, formerly known as GIBTM, will take place at the St Regis Saadiyat Island hotel from 10-12 February and will include a series of one-to-one meetings with destination representatives – twice as many as GIBTM 2014 – who will also be exhibiting across the three-day event.
Hosted buyers from 36 countries and exhibitors will also get the opportunity to explore the sights of Abu Dhabi during Discovery Day, with trips to Yas Island, Ferrari World and the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and an educational trip to the Emirates Palace.
The Knowledge Forum will offer inspiration from thought-provoking speakers, followed by two days of business, where more than 3,000 appointments between buyers and suppliers will take place, plus networking and social events.
Mubarak Al Shamisi, director of the Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau, said: "IBTM Arabia’s successful introduction is an endorsement of the strength of Abu Dhabi’s MICE proposition and proves we have evolved an established industry event to make it more relevant for delegates, buyers and exhibitors."
