Work starts on Newport Premier Inn

A 60-bedroom Premier Inn property in Newport city centre in Wales is expected to open later this year, with work having started last month on the project, following approval from the local council.

The building is located opposite Newport's railway station, close to the Admiral building and is a Grade II-listed building that was formerly Yates Wine Lodge.

Newport City Council has awarded the project £450,000 through the Welsh Government’s Vibrant & Viable Places programme, recognising its role in the regeneration of Newport.
