Sandals Barbados opens after £43m refurb

Sandals Barbados resort has reopened following an extensive £43m renovation project that includes new swim-up suites.

The new-look resort features 280 luxury rooms spanning three villages: Ocean Village, Crystal Lagoon Village and Caribbean Village.

Guests can choose from beach-front butler suites, or the brand new swim-up river suites with access to Barbados’ largest and longest lagoon pool.

The décor of the rooms has been updated with mahogany four-poster beds, flat-screen televisions, and indoor and outdoor soaking tubs.

Incentive groups can make use of the hotel's conference room, which is split over two floors and can cater for a total of 160 guests theatre-style.

Other new features include an exclusive Club Sandals lounge and departure lounge, six additional treatment rooms at the Red Lane Spa and the brand’s first ever Indian restaurant, Bombay Club.
