On Tuesday (27 January), over 650 clients for the corporate leisure and MICE industries attended GP Associates’ Hotelopoly at Banking Hall, where 39 hotels were exhibiting. The daytime event saw catering by Alison Price & Company while attendees could seek beauty treatments and consultations from Jo Malone London. In the evening clients were entertained by juggling duo Calvos and watched a speed painter recreate the London skyline.
Tuesday night also saw The Gate Collection host event professionals at ME London on the Strand. The group, which operates three hotels in Paris, invited agency buyers and industry press to join them in a celebration of the year ahead.
On Thursday (29 January) 220 travel agents attended Quaglino’s for the UK Cruise Awards, which had a 1930s Gatsby theme. The gala was delivered by Red Letter Days and was hosted by television presenter Mark Durden-Smith. Guests attended a champagne and canapé reception before the awards got underway, followed by a three-course dinner. Entertainment for the night was party band Madhen.
