The new Ritz-Carlton will be part of the Empire City development, a 30-acre site with retail space, studios and service suites intended for completion in 2016.

The hotel will sit on a four-acre site and will be 53 storeys high, making it one of the tallest buildings in the area. It will have 288 guestrooms and suites and be designed according to typical Ritz-Carlton standards.
