The city added 72 international conferences to its future events list during the year, and 341 corporate meetings and incentive leads. The city is ranked one of the world’s most efficient and one of its most walkable, which may contribute to the rise in bookings year-on-year.

Copenhagen’s reputation as a ‘knowledge hub’ also attracted a number of association congresses. Among the wins were Women Deliver 2016, the World Hydrogen Energy Congress 2020, and the 27th congress of the International Society of Blood Transfusion 2017.

The increase in bids and leads is a continued increase since 2013, when 272 new corporate events and 57 new international conferences were secured.
