The new division will offer a range of services including sourcing locations for conferences and off-site dinners, recruiting speakers and entertainment, managing suppliers, building a social agenda and handling delegates’ travel logistics.

The agency said the move will enable it to offer a full service to clients. Previously, mclreate concentrated on the provision of technology and the production side of events and worked with partners on an ad hoc basis for logistics.

Tim Spencer, managing director of mclcreate, said: "Every client and every event has differing needs and unique challenges. We have rolled out delegate and event management as a fully fledged offering, so we can now focus on providing personalised help with the intricate details and practical touches."

New hire Rebecca Jansson will head the division. She has 13 years of experience in the industry, working across a number of different sectors, and has organised events catering to as many as 1,000 delegates in locations around the world.

Jansson said: "Effective delegate management is about getting a detailed knowledge of exactly what the client and delegates need and delivering it to a high standard; whether it’s coordinating 100 delegates into their individual session groups, rearranging flight transfers for attendees; or sourcing specialist equipment at a moment’s notice. We are looking at how the delegate journey can move with the times."

Roslyn Rooney will also join the new division. She has seven years of industry experience across sectors such as retail, leisure and charity.
