Banham was at Grass Roots for six years and had previously worked at BI Worldwide and Crown Business Communications. At Wildgoose he will be responsible for leading the business development strategy to bring in more corporate clients, agencies and venues.

Banham said: "Grass Roots is the best company I’ve worked for and I was enjoying my time with them, but when the opportunity came up to move to a small, ambitious and entrepreneurial company with enormous potential, I couldn’t resist the challenge.

"I’m looking forward to using my knowledge and skills to make a significant difference at Wildgoose and help them to achieve their ambitious growth targets.

Jonny Edser, MD of Wildgoose Events, said: "After meeting Paul several times, we could both see that his skills would be well used at Wildgoose. Paul brings with him 15 years of industry experience and a wealth of knowledge which, at this stage in our development, will be invaluable for Wildgoose."
