Partridge Events organised the evening, which adopted the theme "From Vision to Reality - the Business of Creativity."
The speaker of the evening was international businessman and entertainment entrepreneur Michael Jacobsen, who advised on bridging the gap between creative ideas and commerce.
The evening’s entertainment included the singing trio Tenors Un Limited, a 3D ScanBot to take photos, and the magician and illusionist, Deceptionist.
Kelly Baker, president of ISES UK, said: "Last night was an excellent way to launch an exciting new year for ISES UK. This ISES Talk highlighted the necessity of finding a balance between creativity and business for those who work in the event sector; relevant to anyone from organisers to venues and suppliers."
The next ISES event, "Power Hour: How to get heard in Meetings", will take place on 26 January.
