The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife will have 637 rooms, including 236 suites, which will be spread across two towers.

Its facilities will include four dining establishments, a number of outdoor terraces, entertainment venues, three pools, and access to a nearby saltwater lagoon and recreation area. The hotel will offer both ‘family-friendly’ and ‘adults-only’ areas.

The Tenerife hotel will be the group’s second project with hotel operators Palladium Hotel Group, which opened the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza in May 2014, the first Hard Rock Hotel in Europe.

Josh Littman, vice president of EMEA development at Hard Rock International, said: "Tenerife's superb climate, wide variety of cultural activities, and strong accessibility for international travellers, makes it an ideal choice for the hotel brand's global fan base."

Abel Matutes Prats, CEO at Palladium Hotel Group, said: "We're thrilled to introduce the Hard Rock brand to Tenerife and bring a unique experience fusing luxury accommodations and lavish amenities with electrifying entertainment.

"We're certain the distinct beauty and dynamic appeal of the area will exceed expectations and continue to intrigue fans and travellers worldwide."
