2015 Forecast: Fat Face looking at smaller events

C&IT asked five corporates for a short synopsis on the last 12 months and how their 2015 is looking. Next up, Fat Face.

"Our events strategy for 2015 remains similar to this year.

"We haven't done any B2C events for five years because of a change in direction for the company, not because of the economic climate. Next year we will run three internal events.

"There has been a trend towards shorter, smaller and regional meetings and events. For example, one staff conference used to be held over two days, but it is more effective in terms of cost and time to run two one-day events in different parts of the country.

"In September, 420 head office staff and store managers went glamping in the Lake District. Staff stayed in tents with an airbed and the conference and evening celebration was held in a marquee. This will be held every other year so that it doesn't lose its impact."
