Lee replaces Samme Allen, who left the venue in November to move to the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC).

He joins from Maxima Training and Development, a consultancy specialising in sales, business development, customer service, training and development within the hospitality sector, where he was director. Prior to Maxima, he was director of sales for Thistle Hotels heading up the London and provinces region.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and a regular speaker at industry events. He brings with him over a decade of first-hand sales experience and a further decade of sales training expertise within the hospitality sector.

"Joining Twickenham Experience is an amazing opportunity to be part of a fantastic team and to work with a superb venue. The facilities on offer here at Twickenham are second-to-none and I am looking forward to getting my teeth into our sales activities for the coming year, especially as the profile of the venue will increase even further in the countdown to the World Cup in 2015," he commented.

Chris Morris, Twickenham Experience managing director, added: "James brings a powerful combination of strong management and leadership skills and proven, first-hand sales experience within the conference and events sector.

"James’s training background also provides an added benefit to the team here at Twickenham. With a keen eye for honing our sales skills, James will certainly complement our ambition to provide an excellent customer experience and grow our conference and event sales."
