The seaside town is in the district of Thanet in East Kent – the constituency in which UKIP leader Nigel Farage will stand for parliament in 2015.

The historic Winter Gardens boasts five different event/meeting spaces including the Main Hall, which can seat up to 1,400 delegates theatre-style or 2,150 standing.

The venue for the conference was revealed by UKIP's economics spokesman to City A.M. yesterday.

Last year's UKIP conference took place at Torquay's Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC) from 28 February to 1 March and attracted around 1,000 delegates.
