Its flagship conference destination in Bognor Regis enjoyed a particularly bumper year for meetings and events, as business increased 43%.

The results for Butlins Conference & Events, along with the continuing expansion of its offering, build on its performance in 2013, when business rose 22%.

This year, Butlins welcomed new clients from the insurance, banking, retail, automotive and hospitality sectors.

It attributes the rise in revenue to the availability of exclusive hire across its three sites between November and March. Teambuilding has also continued to grow in popularity, with more than 80% of bookings in 2014 taking up the bespoke packages on offer.

Simon Jones, national sales manager at Butlins Conference & Events, said: "We are delighted with the success of Butlins Conference & Events over the past 24 months. Our year-on-year growth demonstrates the brand’s strength in an ever-evolving marketplace and the enduring appeal of our resort offering.

"Butlins Conference & Events has a client-focused approach and always places the delegate at the heart of every decision we make. This process allows us to ensure that they have the best possible experience whilst visiting our resorts. Looking forward, 2015 promises to be an equally rewarding year with some great client wins already in place and the launch of our fantastic new lakeside chalet complex at Minehead."
