Jake Burnham received the internal promotion after seven years with the company. He spent four years as part of its events delivery team and the previous three as an event manager.

The new role follows Team Spirit's appointments of sales director Simon Heartfield in March and event manager Rob Greenhalgh in July.

As well as growing relationships and ties with other major hotels, Burnham will manage Team Spirit’s accounts within the agency market with the aim of increasing business levels to boost the company’s growth plans.

Ian Taylor, CEO and founder of Team Spirit, said: "Team Spirit are moving at a fast pace and are in a period of growth which is incredibly exciting. To have Jake on board to help grow our existing preferred partnerships is a huge boost for us and he is a big asset to the team."

Mr Burnham added: "I am incredibly excited to take on this new role at Team Spirit and looking forward to working with our preferred partners closely, to grow our already strong relationships. We have the opportunity in the coming years to achieve huge growth and I am very much looking forward to being part of the team that will help deliver this."
