Business intelligence software provider Tableau Software held a summit in Singapore on 18-20 February, as part of an ongoing strategy to train and inform its global partners. The event was held at the five-star Pan Pacific in Marina Bay, and was intended as a chance for attendees to hear talks from industry experts, as well as find the time to make new contacts.
A two-hour welcome get-together took place on the opening night, before the next two days of sessions and presentations given by more than a dozen Tableau Software spokespeople. The hotel's central location was seen as a plus, as the property sits close to the hub of Singapore's business, cultural, entertainment and shopping districts.
The event made use of three separate function spaces at the hotel, two of which held up to 140 delegates theatre-style and one that accommodated 400. The two smaller areas held a series of talks along specific themes, with one space focused on speakers giving sales and marketing advice and the other dedicated to experts dispensing technical know-how. The largest room, meanwhile, was used to host three general sessions.
The summit also involved a reception on the second night. In addition to Singapore, Tableau - which was holding its first event of this kind in the destination - has held partner summits in both Las Vegas and London.
