C&IT's Venue of the Week is the new Miami Beach Edition hotel, which opens to the public today (1 December).

Located in a 1950s landmark building, formerly the Seville Hotel, the 294-room hotel is the latest property from Edition Hotels, a brand Ian Schrager conceived in partnership with Marriott International.
 
The Edition offers a 771sqm private event space with dedicated entrance that accommodates up to 550 guests for banquets or 920 theatre-style, and combines with a 297sqm naturally lit pre-function space.

Three flexible, different-sized meeting studios with natural light can be combined to accommodate up to 120 guests for banquets; 190 for receptions; 117 for classroom set-ups and 136 guests theatre-style.

A 223sqm private outdoor event terrace with Atlantic Ocean view is also available, suitable for cocktail receptions for up to 240.
 
Finally, the 186sqm penthouse is ideal for welcoming guests or simply enjoying an expansive sense of privacy.

The design-led hotel also offers a spa with nine private treatment rooms and hammam; swimming pool and deck; 24-hour fitness centre; signature restaurant the Matador Room with outdoor terrace; and a cocktail bar, which overlooks the pool deck.

There is complimentary wi-fi throughout.
