In Pictures: TRO cleans up at Eventia Awards

TRO took home seven awards, including the Event Agency of the Year and the Platinum award, at the Eventia Awards on Friday evening (28 November).

The agency also picked up gold awards in the learning experience, sporting events, brand experience, innovation and events services and logistics categories.

The ceremony, held at London Hilton on Park Lane, saw performances by the Valentinas, The Plague Dance Group, The Young Guns collective and Britain’s Got Talent Finalists Jack Pack. Comedian Ed Byrne compared proceedings. Others winners on the evening included George P. Johnson, drp and Zibrant.

Michael Wyrley-Birch, chief operating officer, TRO EMEA told C&IT: "We are absolutely thrilled to be named 2014 Eventia Agency of the Year and to have received so many awards on Friday night. It means such a great deal for all the agency to be recognised for all their hard work and creativity.

"We are very fortunate to work with so many great brands and we’re delighted to end 2014 on such a high. Thanks to all our clients, to all TRO employees, the Eventia Awards judges, the sponsors and to Evcom for organising a great night. Here’s to 2015," he added.

Next year, the event will relaunch as the EVCOM Experience Awards and will take place on 20 November at Olympia London.

Eventia CEO Marco Forgione said: "The Awards were a spectacular success attracting increased number of entries from a broader range of agencies, we increased the number of attendees for what was a wonderful celebration of success."

Details of the new categories and entry criteria will be available in the New Year.
