Live Group's Greengage app features a locator function, which the company calls a 'game-changing feature'. This, according to the gency, improves the targeting of communications between users at an event and sends direct messages according to their proximity or location.

The function allows exhibitors, sponsors and organisers to see delegates as individuals by measuring and tracking footfall and dwell times and collating it with delegate profiles.

Toby Lewis, Live Group chief executive, said: "The entry which we submitted featured the app being piloted at an event in Amsterdam for one of the big four accountancy firms. They have pioneered the use of our technologies ever since we first began developing them almost a decade ago and they’re now using them all over the world.

"The win speaks volumes about their faith in our abilities. There are other clients too, in government and in the wider public sector, major venues and exhibition organisers that are coming to us and asking what this app can do for their audiences and their stakeholders. It’s very gratifying to see our event expertise finally being recognised in this way."
