South Africa to host BestCities' client workshop

Cape Town is to host a client workshop for BestCities, the worldwide convention bureau alliance.

The 2014 Client Workshop will be held on the 8 – 10 December, where representatives of 22 international associations from a range of market sectors including pharmaceutical, medical, science, academia and technology will come together in the city, staying at the Westin Hotel Cape Town.

According to BestCities Board chair Karen Bolinger, the Client Workshop has proven to be one of the most successful services offered by the alliance for both meeting planners and partner bureau.

"The Client Workshop is very much our signature event as it enables clients to gain a unique insight into BestCities as well as the destination," she said.  "All partners share their top clients list and extend a personal invitation to each of the selected association executives. The hosting partner showcases their city, conference facilities and business acumen to a handpicked audience and all ten BestCities partners have the chance to build a stronger relationship with meeting planners they may not have had the opportunity to meet on their own."

Guests will be given a welcome on top of Table Mountain before the official schedule gets underway at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
