C&IT's Venue of the Week is the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai, which opens in the emirate this week (24 November).

The Sheraton Grand is conveniently located for events at the heart of the business district, close to both the Dubai World Trade centre and Dubai Convention Centre.

The 54-storey Starwood property is also just six miles from Dubai International Airport and houses 474 rooms and suites, as well as a number of serviced apartments.

There are seven meeting spaces at the hotel's dedicated conference centre, the largest of which – the Starlight Ballroom – is 360sqm and can take 375 delegates theatre-style or 400 for a reception. Natural daylight, state-of-the-art A/V and high-speed wi-fi are guaranteed and an outdoor function space is also available.

Dining takes place in one of four specialty outlets, including signature restaurant Feast or the al-fresco poolside eaterie.

Two pools, a fitness centre and the Shine Spa, which is scheduled to open on 1 January, 2015, complete the offer.
