The show, which takes place at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via from 18-20 November, is expected to bring together more than 15,000 meeting professionals from around the world.

This includes more than 3,000 exhibitors from 150 countries, representing destinations, hotels, venues, technology and event services, with Visit Faroe Islands, Royal Hotels & Spa Resorts, Prestige Hotels & Resorts and Eurostars Hotels among the new suppliers.

A record number of Hosted Buyer Group Coordinators, the biggest in the history of the show, are expected to bring more than 4,000 hosted buyers.

EIBTM’s Knowledge Programme will also present 70 sessions of professional education, from seminars to workshops and keynotes, in the conference centre and on the show floor, with themes that include research and trends as well as technology, meetings design and engagement.

C&IT recently caught up with EIBTM's senior exhibition director Graeme Barnett, about what's new for this year's show.
